Welcome to Grandma’s Homemade Soaps. I’m María Luisa García, the heart and soul behind this venture. Alongside being a devoted wife of 35 years and a proud mother to six incredible children, I also wear the titles of a loving mother-in-law and doting grandmother with immense pride. My family plays an integral role in my journey, with two of my children serving valiantly in the military, and three wonderful in-laws contributing their unique essence to our close-knit bond. It fills my heart to see my grandkids, Aaron, Harmony, Carson, and Kamila, follow the footsteps of valor and dedication.
Professionally, my background spans from cosmetology to teaching, accompanied by a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice. My experience, built over two decades in sales, has always been rooted in a genuine passion for serving and loving people.
The genesis of Grandma’s Homemade Soaps was inspired by my daughters, Joanna and Melody, both accomplished entrepreneurs in their own right. Observing their determination, and guided by prayer, I embarked on a journey to harness the potential of my hands and craft something meaningful.
My soap-making adventure began modestly, drawing inspiration from a young couple at a Farmers Market in Southern Pines. I experimented with detergents and melt-and-pour soaps, refining my craft through feedback from friends and family. My dedication soon led me to invest in specialized soap-making literature. Today, I proudly create my signature soap recipes, each embedded with a distinct touch. Our soaps are lovingly crafted using natural ingredients and essential oils, ensuring both quality and care.
Grandma’s Homemade Soaps offers an array of hygiene products. From detergents, face and body soaps, shampoo bars, to indulgent whipped body butter and nourishing oils, we’ve got you covered. For the gentlemen, our collection also boasts shaving soaps, beard oils, and aftershave lotions, among others.
